General Terrain Description:
There are very different terrains, in a distance from 12 km up to 60 km from the event center. The altitude of the race areas is between 300 and 1800 m above sea level. All terrains have sometimes steep slopes. Some of them are compact beech and chestnut forests, mainly good runnable, other have stony ground instead and are slower, and another one is an alpine spruce forest, with open parties. In all cases there are very few paths, and the fine countours and details of the maps require good technical capabilities.
