The JWOC DVDs have been shipped to the requesting persons. We hope you enjoy it!

5-days 2005 and JWOC DVD (03-08-2005 - )
The 5 days and JWOC 2005 DVD with all TV-reports transmitted by the Swiss television and some additional material filmed by the JWOC TV team (for example: opening ceremony, price giving ceremony…) will be available by the end of September.
The DVD will be about two hours and will cost 15.- CHF plus postal fee.
Interested people have to send an e-mail to the following address: 5days2005@asti-ticino.ch.
In the e-mail please specify: first name, surname and a valid post address.

4. Day (15-07-2005 - )
The 4. day of races for the 5days is already started and the runners are now in the forest of Cademario.
Unfortunately we can't connect to the web to write some realtime news, so we ask you to patient since the end of the race to know the official results.
For the moment everything is ok, but a runners have been bitten by a wild pig.

At the start the 3td day of 5dd2005. This morning the JWOC runners compete in the Final Middle Distance. The new world Champs are Persson Anna (SVE) for woman and for the man Hertner Fabian (SUI).

PostFinance Sprint 2005-07-11 (10-07-2005 - )
The PostFinance Sprint was holden in the amazing center of Bellinzona. David Schneider won in 15:56, on a track 3.20 km long and 70 of climb. Four seconds behind him Daniel Hubman, and Matthias Merz 3th with 13 seconds of late.
Simone Niggli-Luder won her category in 16:03. Brigitte Grüniger finished the race 1:08 behind, and Jenny Johansson with 1:20.
In the Junior category the british Scott Fraser is first, the Spanish Francisco Navarro Cutill 2nd (+11sec) and swiss Christian Mathys 3th (+14sec). Elise Egseth won the woman junior category, Helena Jan¬sson (SWE) and Ane Linde(DEN).
The sprint of today, followed by a lot of people placed around the city, was a good prologue for the JWOC 2005.

Matthias Merz, junior world champion in the last two years, will run the 5-days event, and will look with interest who will be his successor....

Second deadline for entries reached: good result! (16-04-2005 - )
More than 1600 runners has entered the 5-days event within the second deadline. A very good result! Entries are still allowed at a higher fee.

Second deadline for entries set to 15th April (29-03-2005 - )
Because of the late start of the orienteering activity in some countries (snow) and to further increase the attractivity of our competition (up to now 31 junior teams entered the JWOC) we decided to postpone the second deadline for entries to the 15th of April. After this date, entries will still be possible, but with a higher fee.

Starting today new entry fees applies. Up the 31.12.2004 more than 800 runners confirmed their participation to the 5-days! Really a success, that demostrates the huge interest in our event in Ticino.

Simone and Matthias Niggli with their Club OLV Hindelbank entered our event, giving to us the warranty of a very high competition level.

After IOF approval, we could finally publish which JWOC 2005 races will be run in which forest. For this reason we can now also publish the same information for the 5-days event.
1. day (Monday): Bellinzona
2. day (Tuesday): Tesserete
3. day (Wednesday): Taverne
4. day (Friday): Cademario Nord
5. day (Saturday): San Bernardino
Those are really the best forests of Ticino! Enjoy the proposed races, participate to our 5-days event!
