Which classes do you offer for children?
There are 3 possibilities for children:
A- Children’s fun class. This is not really an orienteering race: we have special easy maps with drawings, not O-symbols. Extremely easy: from one control you see the next. The course is in the finish area and is thought for children from 2 to 6-7 years, just for fun.
B- Open short class. In this class you could accompany your child, but only after having completed your race (you can choose your start time accordingly).
C- H10/D10 race. The whole race is on tracks, and where tracks are not available there are flags between controls. At track junctions we will put smiling figures, indicating correct/wrong route. These classes are for children with few experience, and the objective is that they should run the course alone.
Entry: for option A and B the entry is only on the day of the race (just on day one we will accept entries for all 5 days; entry fee A: 3.- CHF/day; B: 15.- CHF/day). It is not possible to enter those classes on the official entry form. For option C you should use the official entry form.

Can i run in a different class of those belonging to my age?
Yes, it is always possible to run in a "higher" class. Anyway when you try to enter the data into our online entry application, you will get a warning message (in green), but you can push on the CONFIRM button to proceed.

Can you give more details on OPEN classes?
We have three OPEN classes, the long, medium and short. The technical difficulties are in line with the lengths.
In all OPEN classes it is possible to run alone or in groups.
OPEN Short is thought also for children that need to be accompanied.
The entry for all OPEN classes can be made only on the day of the race (just on day one we will accept entries for all 5 days; entry fee is 15.- CHF/day.
It is not possible to enter those classes on the official entry form.
For the OPEN classes there is neither total ranking (for 5 days) nor price giving ceremonies.

Which are the last Master classes?
H75 for men and D65 for woman.
|
|
| |
| |
| |
Is it possible to close a Club and later on add new runners?
No, the online entry application doesn't allow it.
If you want to benefit from the cheaper entry fee, you have to close the club within the date limit and to pay those entries.
Later on you can open a new club with the same name and team leader, and add new runners.
The two clubs will be handled as separate entities. If you have special wishes (about start times or tent locations) and specify it in the remark field (for example: "extension to club xxx") we will group together the clubs.

| |
What do the different classes mean?
The class names are compliant with Swiss standards. For example HAL means:
first letter: H = man, D = woman
second letter: E = elite, A = difficult, B = easy
third letter: L = long, M = middle, K = short

How can I reach the competitions?
If you have an own car, there will be parking areas available at each competition. Parking fee is 5.- CHF pro car, or 20.- CHF for the whole week.

Do you offer training possibilities before the event?
As the Event Centre will not be available before, we can offer just a training on Sunday 10th July (Monte Ceneri).
But there is a 3 + 2 days event the week before, not so far away in Italy (in the region of Genova) in beautiful terrains, partly similar to those in Switzerland. For more info see: 3-days event 2+3+4th July and 2-days event 6+7th July.
